T.0 Terms & policy

How the studio
works on paper.

Two parts. First — the policy that covers purchases through the Gumroad store. Second — the working framework for custom engagements (placeholder copy, to be replaced with finalized language as services scale).

01 Section

Ready-made product policy.

Covers purchases of ready-made worlds and accessories through the Gumroad store.

01 / Sales

Digital products are non-refundable.

All ready-made worlds and accessories are digital goods delivered instantly through Gumroad. By default these are non-refundable. Specific product pages may include their own additional terms — read them before buying.

02 / License

You own your copy. You don't own the assets inside it.

Worlds and accessories are licensed for use as delivered. That includes uploading them to your VRChat account, customizing within the limits noted on the product page, and running them in your communities.

Internal assets — shaders, models, music, branded elements — may be licensed to their original creators. They're licensed for use inside the product as delivered. They are not licensed for:

  • · Extraction or use in unrelated projects
  • · Redistribution, resale, or sharing
  • · Repackaging into derivative commercial products
03 / Editing

Editable worlds are editable for your use.

Where a world is sold as fully editable (e.g., The Triad, Club RED, A Quiet Place), you may modify layout, branding, music sources, permissions, and similar systems within the licensing scope. Edits that would require extracting or redistributing licensed sub-assets aren't covered.

04 / Support

Support is best-effort.

Reasonable support is provided for purchased products — questions, installation guidance, addressing major issues. Open-ended customization or scope-expansion work falls under edit/upgrade services and is quoted separately (publicly listed starting from $50/hr on current product pages, with larger work quoted by scope).

02 Section

Custom services framework.

Working framework for custom engagements. Treat this as placeholder — final terms are confirmed in each project's scope agreement.

Placeholder — editable
01 / Scope

Quotes are scoped to the brief.

Each project quote covers the deliverables described in the accepted brief, on the platforms and within the timeline agreed at scoping. Material additions to scope mid-project are re-quoted as an add-on or amendment, not absorbed into the original quote.

02 / Revisions

Revisions are bounded.

Revision rounds are defined in the scope agreement before work begins. Standard projects include a defined number of rounds at clearly marked review checkpoints. Revisions beyond that are billed at the hourly rate or quoted as a small change order.

03 / Payment

Deposits before production.

For most custom builds, a deposit is collected before production begins, with balance due at delivery (or against staged milestones for larger projects). Exact terms — currency, method, schedule — are confirmed in the scope agreement.

04 / Communication

Discord and email, normal hours.

Project communication runs through Discord (active builds) and email (formal items — quotes, agreements, deliverables). Response windows align to normal working hours. Rush turnaround is available when scoped explicitly in advance.

05 / Ownership

You get a license to use what's built.

On delivery you receive the agreed license to use the delivered project for its stated purpose. Underlying assets that aren't originally yours (purchased licenses, store assets, third-party shaders, etc.) remain bound by their original licenses. Resale or redistribution of the project as a standalone product requires separate agreement.

06 / Cancellation

Either side can step away — with conditions.

Either party may pause or end an engagement at any time. Work completed up to that point is billable. Deposits cover pre-production effort and are non-refundable once production has started. Specific terms get confirmed per project.

03 Section

Community access.

For DKXR, Patreon, and the broader community ecosystem.

01 / 18+

DKXR is an 18+ space.

The DKXR community is an adult creator collective. Access requires age verification per the group's own posted process. If you can't or shouldn't be in adult spaces, this isn't for you — and the public store, portfolio, and services remain fully accessible regardless.

02 / Patreon

Patreon terms apply.

Patreon membership runs under Patreon's own platform terms — your relationship for that subscription is with the platform. Member-only drops and content remain accessible while membership is active.

03 / Conduct

Community behavior expectations.

Standard community ground rules apply across all studio-run spaces: no harassment, no doxxing, no slur use, no content involving minors. Hosts and moderators have the discretion to remove or ban anyone violating these expectations.
