A.0 About the studio

A world studio,
not a world generator.

Kipp VR builds worlds for VRChat — venues, lounges, community hubs, private spaces, and the avatars that live inside them. The studio started in Altspace, grew into VRChat, and has been building ever since.

The work runs through Blender and Unity, with a bias toward atmosphere over spectacle: lighting that actually flatters avatars, scale that reads as a real place, systems that hold up under live community use. Worlds are the core. Avatar fashion drops sit alongside as a side practice. Full avatar commissions are handled selectively — by approval, not at volume.

01 How we work

Four principles
that keep the work
honest.

Atmosphere is the brief

Lighting, scale, sound zones, sightlines — these get decided early. A world has to feel like somewhere before it does anything else. Function follows.

Built for live operators

Worlds are designed around how communities actually run them — moderation surfaces, voice zones, permission tiers, repeat-use ergonomics.

Cross-platform on purpose

Quest support isn't bolted on. Several store worlds ship Quest + PC from the start, and custom builds are scoped against the platforms your audience uses.

Editable, not locked

Most store worlds ship fully editable within their licensing terms. The point is a world you can run, not a world you have to babysit.

02 Trajectory

From Altspace
to now.

  1. Origin

    Altspace

The studio's first builds went up in Altspace — the early experiments in social VR space-making.

  2. Move

    Into VRChat

The platform shift to VRChat brought scale, tooling, and a community that ran on user-built worlds.

  3. Signature

    Club venues & community spaces

Builds like SkySong / Club SkySong became the public reference for what the studio does at venue scale.

  4. Catalog

    Ready-made worlds & accessory drops

A Gumroad catalog grew alongside custom work — fully editable club worlds, lounges, and a line of avatar fashion.

  5. Today

    Custom studio + creator orbit

Custom work, store releases, the DKXR community, and Patreon drops all run together in one ecosystem.

03 Stack

Tools we
actually use.

Blender

Modeling, sculpting, and asset prep.

Unity

World assembly, lighting, optimization, and VRChat SDK integration.

VRChat SDK

Permissions, voice zones, FBT systems, persistence.

Discord

How clients and the community talk — actively, not at arm's length.

04 In the field

In-world,
where the work lives.

Most of the studio runs from inside VRChat itself — testing builds, hosting community sessions, and previewing drops on actual avatars in actual lighting.
